Okay, we could all use a little cheese in our lives, and since Middle of the Road was practically inescapable in our hometown — for a while in the '70s, every family in our neighbourhood was blasting this pap — we just let the dreck assail our ears. But a funny thing happened along the way, and it caught us with our pants down!... We started chirpily crooning tunes like 'Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep', 'Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum' and 'Soley Soley' (someone should give the Glasgow group an award for coming up with such brilliantly banal titles) in the bathroom!
